The Bible says that revenge is the work of God (Rom 12). We are not to take revenge to those who do evil to us. Just put everything that happens in your life in the Hands of the LORD. He will take care of your life and do what is just for you. Never try to do what God alone can do.
God can turn the evil things that people do to us into blessings. He is the most high God. Can we trust Him by throwing away our bitterness and by forgiving others. He will turn bitterness and evil things that people do to us into double fold blessings.
Unforgiveness takes root in our families, churches, communities, nations and countries. And we pass it on generation after generation.That closes the door of our blessings. Let's stop bitterness and unforgiveness in our generation.
The more you forgive, the more you will be free. We often try to find freedom at outside. We give many excuses about others and blame them. But in fact, the real freedom is in you and it is all about your decision. Therefore, start making the decision to forgive right now, rather than always blaming your spouse, parents, children, friends and neighbors. Think how to bless them and pray for them. God has promised you that, those prayers and blessings that you ask for others, who hurt and do evil to you will return to you. Jesus Christ, our Master and Lord said to pray for your enemies. Give them water to drink when they are thirsty and provide them food to eat when they are hungry.
This is what Joseph did in Gen 50:15-26.
