Blessed Are You

Matthew 5 :1-11

1. Blessed are the poor in Spirit,
   for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
   Blessed are those who mourn,
   for they will be comforted.

Chorus :Blessed are the merciful for they will see mercy.
           Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
           Blessed are the peace makers; they'll be called sons of God.

2. Blessed are the hunger(for Righteousness) and the meek,
   for they'll be filled and inherit the earth.
   Blessed are persecuted for righteousness,
   For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Chorus: Blessed are you when people insult you.
           Persecute you falsely because of me.
           Rejoice and be glad; Great is your reward in heaven.
