My First Experience at Heartland Fellowship on December 5,2010.

December 5 is one of the most exciting days in my life. Because I knew that I would meet my new brothers and sisters in Christ at Heartland Fellowship (also known as the Breakfast Church) who've been praying for me before we meet each other.

Gary picked me up in his car in the morning while Wendy was preparing and arranging some necessary things for the fellowship at home where their church takes place.

Soon after, we started our fellowship together by singing, praying, giving testimony, encouraging and breaking(sharing) the bread together as the early believers did. Wow! what a wonderful experience. This is my very first time that I saw all believers bringing their own food together to the church. I really felt the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ among us as we gathered in His name and also felt as if I were in the early church era in the book of Acts. I believe that the life style of the believers must be as the Book of Acts. This is one of the things that I will teach my own people as soon as I get back to my home country. I really love it and appreciate that.

Then, we sang songs of praise all written by Sara who led  these songs during the service.

I also gave my testimony to my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. They love the Lord so much and their faces shone when I met them and talked to them. Even though they are not big group, what they did and always do for Christ is really big. Please remember that God can use five loaves of bread and two fishes of a little boy to feed five thousand people. Suddenly, I thought that if all the Christian believers love the Lord Jesus Christ, abide in His word and obey His very last comment like this small group of people, how easily we will reach the world for Christ. The way they live their lives for Christ  touches my heart and speaks to me deeply, while some Christians around them are living their lives as they like and misuse their freedom.

Next, Steve taught about Paul's ministry from the book of Romans 16:7. He gave a clear and specific explanation.

Chris, Sara's husband also taught about Martin Luther (Part II), the church history around 1514. He gave a clear explanation too.

Finally, Gary gave the word of encouragement by using Matt 5:8 " Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God." Those who are pure in spirit and eager for God (His word) in their heart will surely see Him and be blessed.

What a great experience for me. My Almighty God, Thank you so much for your love, kindness and taking care of us every day in our lives.

My hope is in you!

Blessings,
William
