After Sunday worship service on December 5Steve Macdonald and his family took me to his parents home.
Steve is the only one whom I already knew and met in Myanmar among the Heartland Fellowship people except Gary. I am very glad to meet him again.
Debbie is Steve's wife. She is a good mother to two daughters, Heather and Hayley. Heather and Hayley also love their parents very much.Sometimes they are like very good friends to each other. That makes me appreciate Steve as he leads his family.
Steve's parents are still beautiful and handsome and look still young and strong. They are very friendly and kind to talk to me.
Afterwards we went to a Restaurant with Steve's family where I met different people from different parts of the world. We have a big meal together.
As I was wearing snow boots that Gary and Wendy had bought for me on the first day I arrived in Canada. They are too heavy for Steve's eye when he saw how I walked. So he said we will need to buy running shoe for me. We went to a shopping Center to look running shoes. I got a very nice pair. I pray that God will bless Steve and his family according to His promise.
On the way, we met a guy, a friend of Heather. They talked with him for a while. Steve told me that he was the one whom his daughter preached the Gospel of Christ and became a believer of Christ. That was so wonderful to me. I appreciate it so much. What a good example for a Christian believer's family to reach out all together for the Gospel of Christ for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
On our way back to Steve's home, we bought a real Christmas Tree. It was very windy and cold outside. This is the very first time I ever touched the Christmass Tree with my own hand.
When we got home, Steve showed me some pictures that he had taken in Myanmar. I am very glad that we kept those pictures with him which are from my country.
After spending our time, we prayed together, especially for Debbie.
Then Steve dropped me back home.
I give my thanks to God that I have such a good friend in Steve who takes care of me and loves me in the Lord.
Finally, my big thanks go to Steve & Debbie and their two daughters Heather and Hayley. May God bless you all!
